The 2026 Assemble Artists - Cá bhfuil Martha agus Cian?

We are ar bís and beyond honoured to be chosen as one of the Axis Assemble artists for 2026!

Axis Assemble is a programme run by the wonderful team at Axis Ballymun, which allows artists at all stages of their careers and from all backgrounds to grow their creative practice and develop new ideas. We’ve long admired Axis and their work, as well as the fantastic artists that have come through the Assemble programme, so we’re grateful for the chance to be a part of the programme. We are just one of a phenomenal 2026 cohort, and you can read about their work, and the Assemble project as a whole, here.

We will be using the Axis Assemble bursary for Martha to develop the script of Bird Lady, a bilingual play exploring care, biodiversity, and letting wildness in. Keep an eye for updates as we share progress on the work (and watch this space for a sharing in Axis sometime at the end of the year…)
